Oral history is the collection and study of historical information using sound recordings of interviews with people having personal knowledge of past events. This entails capturing a person's memories on (digital) video and audio material, so that these memories can then serve as a historical source. Material from oral history research often contains information that would otherwise be lost. It also gives insight into how people deal with, and give meaning to what they have experienced in for example a war situation.
EASY contains material from several oral history projects (this material however is mostly in Dutch):
