Inventory Psychology

How is the data infrastructure in the world of academic psychology in the Netherlands structured? What kind of research data is collected and to what extent is this stored and reused? These are some of the questions to be answered by the project Psychology Inventory.

The need to use other people’s data and the need to link and/or enrich databases and the willingness to share data is also being examined. The key question here is: given the different research fields within psychology and the wishes and needs of researchers, how can psychological research data best be stored and made accessible for reuse?

The object underlying the foregoing questions is dual

  • Gaining insight into the existing data infrastructure in the field of Netherlands academic psychology;
  • Gaining insight into the needs of psychologists working in academic institutions with respect to systematic archiving, reuse, linking, enriching and sharing of data.
