EASY II - Electronic Archiving System on Fedora

The project 'EASY On Fedora (EOF)' is the follow-up to EASY. EOF uses Fedora archiving software (not to be confused with the Linux-based operating system Fedora). The aim of the EOF project, apart from realising an important upgrade of the existing EASY, is to establish an improved and easily expandable software infrastructure as the basis for various solutions.

This means that the project provides the software as well as the required infrastructure, in addition to a completely updated EASY web application that uses this infrastructure.
The basic principle of EOF is to use standard solutions, standards that facilitate interoperability, and to create more structure at data level ('content models'). Fedora is an example of a standard solution.

As the follow-up to the EASY project, EOF obviously incorporates the knowledge acquired within DANS during the past two years. The project is also future-oriented and, as far as possible, future-proof. This will enable EASY to become a platform for several different solutions.
