DRIVER II

Objective of DRIVER (Digital Repository Infrastructure Vision for European Research) is to realize a European digital repository infrastructure. Within the DRIVER II project, DANS cooperates with a number of other Dutch organizations on a work package that investigates and demonstrates the possibilities of Enhanced Publications.

Together with a number of other scientific organizations in The Netherlands, DANS is responsible for Deliverable 4.4 and Milestone 4.1: 'Enhanced Publications Demonstrators and Sample Datasets'. Objective is defining and selecting datasets as examples for Enhanced Publications. Based on this, several Demonstrators will then be built which will couple these data sets to sources within DANS, 3TU (the three technical universities) and KNAW Onderzoekinformatie and will demonstrate the possibilities of such an infrastructure.

In addition to this deliverable, DANS is also working with others on Deliverable 4.3: 'Report on Repository Interoperability' and in Milestone 4.2: 'Long Term Preservation Technologies (Technology Watch)'.
