Registration for ICPSR Summer Program opens
The annual Summer Program of the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) will take place in Michigan, USA this summer from June 22 to August 14. Interested parties can register online.
The Summer Program includes an integrated program of four weeks on research objectives, data analysis and statistical methods of social research. The ICPSR, which organizes the summer program, is part of the University of Michigan. It is a consortium, designed to service social scientists by storing and making available digital research data. Also, training facilities, resources and means of exchange are offered to promote the use of modern computer technology in the social sciences. More than five hundred universities, colleges and institutions for academic research around the world are associated.
DANS represents the Dutch membership in ICPSR. Students and staff of institutions, which have an ICPSR subscription, are entitled to a reduced rate through DANS. Subscribed at the moment are Erasmus University Rotterdam, Radboud University Nijmegen, University of Groningen, Leiden University, the Universities of Maastricht, Tilburg, Twente, Utrecht and Amsterdam, VU University Amsterdam, the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, the National Institute for Health and Environment, the Police Academy Apeldoorn and the Dutch Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute in The Hague.
