New name for online analysis tool NESSTAR

DANS NESSTAR will be called DANS EASY Online Analysis Tool from now on. The internet service’s look has also been updated to emphasize its new status.

Just like the online archive EASY at DANS, which serves all social sciences and humanities in the Netherlands, the DANS EASY Online Analysis Tool contains many data in the area of social sciences. The difference with EASY is that this Analysis Tool has extra features. For example, data published in it are more extensively documented and tables can be created online. Also, data can be analyzed online, for example, by means of regression analysis. DANS particularly chose the new name to point toward the latter feature.

At the moment, the following data are available:

• Cultural Changes in the Netherlands Studies (CV)
• Dutch Parliamentary Election Studies (NKO)
• Social and cultural trends in the Netherlands (SOCON)
• National survey pupils secondary schools (NSO)
• Facilities use survey (AVO)
• Time budget survey (TBO)

Current users of the DANS NESSTAR server are kindly asked to register again as they won’t be able to use their old account data on the new web site.
