DANS organizing The Open Data Speakers Corner

During the international Open Access week, which will take place from 19 to 23 October, DANS will be hosting The Open Data Speakers Corner. Guest writers from various disciplines will contribute a column to the digital Speakers’ Corner. Every day, three other guests will be asked to comment, after which everybody else can pitch in as well.

In the Open Data Speakers Corner, DANS wants to demonstrate that Open Access is not only of importance for publications but also for access to scientific data. Many researchers and institutions support the idea of Open Access, but open access to research data is still far from common. The Speakers Corner might yield new ideas as to how that ideal might be reached. It will be available on the DANS web site as of 19 October.
